NECK / THORACIC AND LOW BACK PAIN

Back pain is a common condition, and, in most cases, it is not usually caused by a serious problem. However, when examining and reviewing people with back pain, it is important to exclude other specific causes of back pain and any underlying pathology.  This shall be considered in your initial assessment and subsequent follow up appointments.

Exercise has been shown to be the most helpful treatment for back pain.

Hands-on treatments such has joint mobilisation and soft tissue release have been shown to have a small benefit to back pain, and only when used in conjunction with a treatment programme which includes targeted exercises on core, stretching and strengthening.

With this holistic approach and along with advice on posture and education on movement I aim to effectively treat back pain by reducing pain, improving movement, and building strength with the aim of helping you move better, reduce risk of recurrence, and return to daily activities safely.
